Muttukadu Boat Club

Located at 23 Kms from Adayar, this backwater (lagoon) area is maintained by the Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation. Most of the water in this lagoon is fed by Bay of Bengal which is on the East during high tides. During high tides backwaters offers suitable situation for wind surfing, water skiing, speedboat riding and rowing. During low tides the water is discharged to this lagoon by Buckingham Canal which is on the West. During the low tides the backwaters are used for fishing and sea salt harvest hence the adventure is limited only to speedboat riding and rowing. If you are interested in wind surfing, water skiing, and speedboat riding visit muttukadu during the month of February.
